The Stagecrafters will hold its GENERAL AUDITION in the theater auditorium at 8130 Germantown Ave. Those who wish to audition are asked to present one or two short contrasting monologues. For additional information, call 215-247-9257 after July 31, 2008. The purpose of this audition is to assess actors who may wish to audition for future productions and would like to show the Casting Committee a sampling of their work. The Stagecrafters holds open auditions for each production, which consist of cold readings from the script. Auditions for our 2008-9 season begin on August 5 with the audition for Incorruptible by Michael Hollinger. See below for the complete schedule. |

Got a yen to be in Theatre?! Want to play an important part in putting a show together: designing and running stage lighting, creating costumes, devising and building ingenious sets, developing a publicity campaign, finding or constructing unique props ... all that and more which goes into making a performance happen on stage? If so, you’re on the right page! Now’s your chance to become a volunteer at The Stagecrafters theater, by coming to our annual Volunteers Night . . . at the theater on Wednesday, August 20th between 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM. Spend some time getting acquainted with our group, learn a little about what goes into a show, talk to us about the many opportunities to volunteer your time and skills. |

Ticket sales cover only a fraction of the cost of mounting productions
and maintaining our property. In particular, our handsome historic
buildings are in constant need of
maintenance, repair, and restorative renovation. This season we have
initiated a major drive to raise money for significant improvements to
our premises with the inauguration of the Sally Minter Memorial Fund, in tribute to our late president, a notable presence in this organization for over fifty years.
